We see adult leaders as our primary outlet for numerical and spiritual growth amongst students. We have chosen to be a volunteer lead ministry because we think it fulfills the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and is the best way to reach high school students. In essence, our job is to get students to a Student Ministries service and then create systems to connect them with our adult leaders. We pledge to do our best to support and train adult leaders but mostly rely on them to be growing in their relationships with Christ and to in turn share their knowledge and experiences with students.
Student Ministries is a work in progress and by no means do we think we have the perfect structure. We do however, have years of experience and have come up with a working structure that fits within the larger CedarCreek structure and has proven effective in reaching middle school and high school students.
Our hope is that volunteers will slide into some of the key roles of Student Ministries and find themselves fully engaged in life-altering, exciting ministry opportunities! Keep reading to see the different roles, what they require and how you might fit in.
